❓ FAQs (Pakistan)

Q1: My child has mild cough/low‑grade fever. Can we vaccinate?
Yes, usually. Mild illness is not a reason to delay. If uncertain, ask the vaccinator/doctor.
Q2: What if we’re late?
Go as soon as possible. The vaccinator will make a catch‑up plan. You don’t restart previous doses.
Q3: Are rotavirus and PCV really necessary?
They prevent severe diarrhea and pneumonia—major causes of hospitalization in infants. Highly recommended.
Q4: Why both OPV and IPV?
OPV builds gut immunity; IPV (injection) strengthens blood/nerve protection. Together they protect better.
Q5: Any side effects?
Soreness at injection site, mild fever, fussiness—usually settle in 24–48 hours. Seek care for high fever, persistent vomiting, or rash.
